Our Story

My name is Aiden Bateman, I’m the head of Elwood Lunar Construction.

I began roofing working Saturdays and school holidays with my father, having learned tool skills with him from an early age. On leaving school, he encouraged me to take an apprenticeship as an Electrician in order to get more industry experience. Upon qualifying from my apprenticeship, I took 6 months to travel and figure out what I wanted to do, then I returned to roofing working alongside my father. In the following years, I gained experience working with other trades; working alongside carpenters on timber projects, slab laying, plasterboarding, stone build renovation work, repointing, rebuilding chimneys, and the list goes on… always with roofing as my main workload.
Over the course of 15 years collaborating in and around Oxfordshire, I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the industry.

Now, as I establish my own company, my vision is to uphold the same values of work ethic and dedication to quality in the pursuit of sustainability that I have been taught and have cultivated throughout my career. By integrating these principles into my new venture, I aim to contribute to the advancement of sustainable building practices while delivering top-quality workmanship to our clients.
